WORK HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY
TAK INDUSTRIAL FABRICATION & SERVICES
TAK Industrial Fabrication & Services, a division of TAK Group Pty Ltd, is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, contractors, clients, visitors and the public, both in our Riverstone workshop and on every site we work on. No job is so urgent that it cannot be done safely.
All managers, supervisors and workers are responsible for safety, starting with the Managing Director. Our commitment is to:
• Comply with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW), the Work Health and Safety Regulation, relevant codes of practice and Australian Standards;
• Identify hazards, assess risks and put controls in place before work starts, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for high-risk construction work such as working at heights, lifting and hot work;
• Ensure every worker is trained, competent and holds the licences and tickets their tasks require, and is only allocated work they are qualified to do;
• Provide and maintain safe plant, equipment, lifting gear and personal protective equipment (PPE);
• Consult with workers on safety matters and encourage everyone to report hazards, incidents and near misses, without fear of blame;
• Investigate incidents and near misses, and take action to prevent them happening again;
• Work cooperatively with principal contractors and clients, and follow their site safety requirements;
• Support injured workers with a safe and early return to work.
Quality Policy
We fabricate and install steel to project drawings, engineering specifications and the applicable Australian Standards. We are committed to:
• Checking materials, dimensions and welds before steel leaves our workshop;
• Keeping records for each job so our work can be traced and verified;
• Using qualified tradespeople for fabrication, welding and installation;
• Dealing with any defect or non-conformance promptly and openly;
• Delivering on time and communicating clearly with our clients throughout the job.
Environmental Policy
We aim to minimise the environmental impact of our work by recycling steel offcuts and scrap, storing and disposing of paints, gases and chemicals safely, keeping our workshop and sites clean, and complying with environmental laws.
This policy is reviewed every 12 months, or sooner if our operations or the law change, and is available to all workers and clients.
